Does my dog have to be neutured of spayed to come to K9 to 5?

Yes. Any dog over 6 months old must be spayed or neutured. This is to eliminate the risk of unwanted/accidental pregnancies and dogs are more likely to become calmer after being neutured or spayed and this creates a safer environment for all dogs involved in activities at K9 to 5.

Does my dog have to be house trained to come to daycare or boarding?

Yes. Any dog over 6 months old must be house trained. We welcome puppies to K9 to 5 daycare and boarding and expect an accident or two. However, adult dogs must be trained to go outside.

What kind of dogs do you take?

We take all friendly dogs who are good with other dogs, have no history of aggression towards people or other dogs, are of managable size, regularly wormed and received flea treaments as well as kennel cough etc.

How much do you charge?

Can you pick my dog up between 12pm and 1pm?

We never give you a time we will collect your dog by. A favourite time slot is lunch time but due to the amount of walks we do a day, we can only guarantee your dog will be walked anywhere from 10am - 3pm.

How do I get my dog ready for group walks?

If you decide to use us and provide us with a key to your house, we will need a lead and collar (or harness), which fits safely and comfortably to your dog, to be made readily available to us. We will not search your house for these items: if we cannot find your lead, we have our own. However, if your dog does not have a collar with an ID tag, we cannot walk your dog.

UK laws state dog's in public spaces must have a collar with an ID tag with the name and address (including postcode) of the owner engraved or written on it.

What about last minute bookings and cancellations?

For walking, training and daycare dogs; Every Sunday you will receive a text from us to ask which days you would like to use our services throughout the week. Please respond as soon as possible to secure your dog's place with us. We will send you a confirmation text.

We require 24 hours notice of cancellations. If you cancel/forfeit a walk, training session or daycare with us on the day, you may still be charged.


For boarding dogs; The earlier you provide us with the dates of your holiday, the sooner we can check our availability and book you in. There is a small, non-refundable deposit to pay when making a booking with us.

We require 2 week's notice of a cancellation.
